Sam Chamorro is a first-year graduate student studying Health Policy & Management at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, where she serves as a Blue Shield of California Fellow. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UCLA. Her work has centered on mixed-methods field research, health data analytics, and climate resilience policy. She has worked as a Research Consultant with Pacoima Beautiful, conducting health and housing assessments in the San Fernando Valley, and translating data into actionable policy recommendations for climate-impacted communities. As a Project Coordinator Intern with the California Department of Public Health, she developed a statewide pre-planning assessment framework to improve strategic alignment and operational capacity of local health departments in integrating emergency preparedness and climate resilience into their core workflows. Passionate about community and leadership, Sam served as President of the UCLA Public Health Initiative: Leaders of Tomorrow, directing mentorship programs and professional growth events for undergraduate students.
